After all the excitement of spending a day in the city yesterday it was lovely to be back into our usual weekend routing of a ramble out with the hounds in the country.  We thought we’d get out reasonably early and beat the rush of visitors to the Rimutaka Rail Trail.  Looking across the landscape it was glorious yet eery as the mists tumbled across the valley.

I had kept my camera back light – only one lens on my camera. One designed for close ups of bassets rather than wide angle landscape photographs.

Nevertheless with the sun peeking through the trees it was a wonderful morning to be out – even if we were dodging a tide of cyclists, walkers and masses of other dogs all out enjoying a glorious start to the Sunday.
