Hi there, it’s JT back again.  Hope you enjoyed your introduction to MT’s soap box.  It was nice to let him share my online home.  I’m sure he’ll be back again soon.

Now back in the land where soap box is something to do with what is stashed under the sink for doing chores we’ve been enjoying some Spring sunshine in the knowledge that it’s all turning to pants tomorrow and going to rain.

I thought I’d make the most of the sun and snap a few shots of what’s happening in the garden.  If you really want to know the names of all these plants, you’ll have to come back and visit tomorrow as I need to check them out on the landscaping plan. Also, I need to start memorising these, including the Latin names so I can be much better informed.  Anyway, I think the pictures tell a decent enough story without too many words. Enjoy!

Pretty in pink – these are Leptospermum (or something like that!)

The Rhododendrons starting to come out – more pink!

oooh, some of my fav’s – the hostas are coming through

The rain (see the puddle in the bed) and wind has done little for these brightly coloured red Rhododendron Elizabeth

There were four flowers on this Magnolia tree the other day – blown off by the gale

I’m afraid that this plant to the right was a little too waterlogged.  I’m not sure it’s going to sprout after all!

Plenty of sprouting here though!

Seems I perhaps know more of these plant names than I thought.  Will update this post tomorrow with all the gen.  So many of the trees are coming into leaf so watch out for those in days to come!
