You might remember Seth, he’s been living in and out of hospital for a while.  He’s been having chemo therapy and fighting hard to beat leukemia.  I’ve blogged about him a few weeks ago and asked you to register for bone marrow donation.  That’s what he needs.

Or so we thought.  I’ve just got word that the medical team treating Seth has advised against a transplant.  Although they hadn’t got a perfect match they’d got a donor that would do.  After lots of ifs, buts, maybes they’ve decided on balance that the little fella is doing so well that they are not going to go ahead with the transplants.  The risks are too high given how well he’s been doing.

Seth is now home with his sister, and his mum and dad.  MT is visiting them this coming week when he’s over the jet lag.  It is such a relief all round but will be a constant worry I know for his parents.

At least this is a happy ending for now.  That makes me very happy.
