I’ve been pondering whether like a recession you need two or more successive chill events to formally classify that winter is here. I know it snowed at the weekend but was so fleeting it hardly counts.
Having said that it’s been definitely chillier this week, more than ever before since we’re lived here. I’m prepared to accept that we’re in the grip of winter. This picture (above) was taken at lunch time today when I was out walking the dogs. It kind of sums up how things are around here at the moment. A bit of winter sun mixed with misty patches giving the place a magical feel.
The best bit about overlooking a valley is you can see all how the clouds perform their magic. I could sit for hours and look out the window (note I said I could, not that I do). This morning there was a really beautiful red and blue glow coming over the hill.
Weather watching is something you can really get into when you live out here. I’m seriously thinking about getting a barometer so I can take the British obsession with the weather to new heights!
Again, amazing photos. I love the first one – you could probably win an award with that! I really love the fact that you love where you are. It’s so wonderful to read xx
