I still get shivers when I think about the day we took possession of our house. There were builders crawling all over finishing up and cleaners crawling all over them trying to tidy up. I was standing in the midst of it all thinking…. it’s not ready, how on earth are we going to move in tomorrow. What is him indoors going to say when he sees the mess!
I’m sure Mike and Andrea aren’t in the same position as us but they’ve finally taken possession of their house. This is a momentous day marked specially by the skip being removed from site!
It will be a couple of weeks before they move in. Not like us, moving in the day after handover day. Quite apart from anything else Mike is over in the UK on a return to family holiday. I think when it was booked he was hoping to be moved in already. Oh the optimism!
It’s going to be so good to have more neighbours close to hand. Always good to know that there are people around. We’re all looking forward to their house warming party too!
Apart from keeping a close on the neighbours I’ve been full on with work today in town. At least work tomorrow will be from the comfort of Domestic Executive HQ. No more excuses tomorrow. That shaker project has to come to fruition.
In the meantime, here’s another view of our neighbours new house. Just look at the size of their heat pump system. No question that we’re not keeping up with the Jones on that front!
Such a beautiful landscape, and such a beautiful house. Yours is amazing too though, so there’d be no need to worry about the Jones’.. but at least it’s not an eyesore next door. (I wish I could look for a job there, that’d be amazing)
That is so cool, we wish them all the best. One say we hope to make it our goal to build our own home somewhere beautiful like Kaitoke. You guys are so very very lucky. x
