I thought it was time to inject a bit of reality into my blog.  After all people might think I don’t set food outside my country bubble. I do, but I’d rather not!  Needs must to earn a crust.

As luck would have it I actually had my camera with me so was able to capture a few views from my walk before I realised I was going to be very late if I kept up the site seeing trip.

This train sign made me chuckle.  If the state of New Zealand railways wasn’t so bad it would be quite quaint.  Frankly it’s a bit of a disgrace but old and new seem to trundle along and keep the public of Wellington moving.  It might not be fast but at least there is a train network of note which is more than can be said for Auckland.

Sorry, this is about as much sightseeing and you’ll get.  A girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do!

At the end of the day it was back to the country to catch the last rays of sunshine before we hunkered down for the night.  Time to say hello to our sheep friends.

Time to admire the sun putting it’s golden rays on the hill

But I love this view of the house more – the sun heading behind the trees.  Ah, home sweet home!
