There couldn’t have been a better start to my weekend – a bright and shiny Friday morning.  The fact it was below zero in our valley was beside the point.  It wasn’t long before the sun started to thaw the frost.  I was struck by how the water drops were hanging on the wire fence.  I find these moments in time and place are to be relished if only for a minute.

It seems sheer luxury to have stopped for those few minutes, camera in hand.  The modern world conditioning seems to value material things over experiential ones.   Certainly regressing from the cut and thrust of the traditional working world means enjoying such moments and indeed other more traditional things – like growing and cooking food from my garden and walking the lanes rather than being a gym bunny.  Having let my Domestic Executive halo slip a little in recent weeks today feels like a new start.
