Thinking warm thoughts it almost a full time occupation – it’s cheaper than heating and keeps me distracted from fretting about the cold. We’ve had some glorious days this week with warm sunshine which has been such a joy making it bearable to cope when the temperatures plummet again at night.
Inside my office I have my very own warm thought generator. A wonderful orchid given to me by Karen who takes care of Fortnum and Mason on days when I’m working away from home. I like orchids for not just their beauty but they make me feel warmer as I think of them in hot house conditions. When I took my prize bloom home and put it in a vase in my office it suddenly disappeared from view as the colours of the petals are almost exactly the colour of my office walls – in fact it pretty much matches my office colour scheme perfectly.
