A splash of tropical colour coincided with the tropical storms that arrived. It was a much needed boost for my Mother-in-Law’s birthday which was celebrated in a low key but nevertheless special way. As we sipped our champagne on the veranda and watched the rain come down I was once again reminded of the importance of simply enjoying the moment. Savouring the sights, sounds and feelings that we were experiencing and filing them away in our memory bank to bring them out again when we need a boost. I shall always look at this photograph, or the many others I took just because I could, and remember that day. Thank goodness for our memories – photographic or otherwise.
