One of the pleasures of my line of work as a leadership coach is hearing about how people have made progress.  Changed things that they’ve wanted and banished the corporate b*it from their lives.  What is mighty scary is when people start to say to me…”I remember what you said……” and go on to quote some fabulously insightful thing that I have no recollection of.  My memory isn’t what it was but I just don’t associate myself with these pearls of wisdom.

It’s a privilege people trust me so much with their hopes and fears.  They share their stories and have confidence that a conversation with me will set them up for the next round of the corporate merry-go-round.  And then they go on their merry way and I wonder until the next time how it turned out.  It’s like having to wait for a month before you can turn the page to a new chapter in a book.

But as a job, there is nothing more satisfying.
