Nature is certainly starting to wake up with blossoms, magnolias, rhododendrons and deciduous trees all starting to come into flower and leaf. Since we’re at the lofty heights of 280m we are about a month behind the rest of the valley which is a good thing since we can enjoy the colours of Spring for longer. The native ferns are however in full flight with new korus sprouting all over. I couldn’t resist snapping this fern tree which is just on the other side of our back fence in the forestry block, it looks such a brave move to be putting itself out there against a huge country backdrop.
