One of Fortnum’s favourite things is to walk the big water pipe at Kaitoke Waterworks. He gets very displeased if he’s not allow to wander along the top, it’s like he’s missing out on some adventure. The fact he is completely incapable of getting himself down from the pipe and his 35 kilo weight has to be man handled for us to continue walking doesn’t seem to put him off at all. He’s not as smart as Mason who abandoned such folly after the first experience preferring to keep his paws at ground level.
It’s like having a child who insists on walking along a wall and refuses to travel any other way. And just like a recalcitrant child a basset hound can sulk for hours to show his displeasure.
It’s his own private little place, he probably enjoys it more knowing that little basset doesn’t!!!
I love those ankle wrinkles, they always make me smile. You should get a good picture of the curlyque in their fur on their elbows, I always liked that to, the little swirls in their fur. Do you know what I’m talking about? it’s like a little tiny cow-lick, LOL
I do know what you mean, can’t resist a basset’s ankles and elbows!
