My photographic nerves have been a jangle all week.  Today is assignment day – flying solo in the photographic studio.  Having press ganged a couple of friends into being my models it’s time to do or die.  I don’t know who is more nervous – me or them.  We had a pre-shoot conference by skype and after talking through a range of wild and wacky creative ideas we decided in the end that first time studio modelling and picture making needed a more cautious approach.  Leaping into the unknown was probably a creative risk too far.

Usually when I point my camera at someone I am overcome with people phobia.  Either because I am mortified if I can’t take a picture that does them justice or because they pull a range of stupid and unhelpful faces which does nothing to bolster my confidence.   Even the bassets have taken to turning their heads away from the camera so bored are they having the big round thing pointing at them.  Let’s hope that the studio shoot is a little more successful, even if it won’t be quite as exciting as the creative shoot from the workshop a few weeks ago.   You can be sure I’ll share my pain over the weekend!
