With all the lists, chores and things to think about I thought I might explode at one point today. My tolerance to stress just isn’t what it used to be so I took some corrective action and beetled off with the bassets to check out the spring blooms that were out at the local park. We weren’t disappointed.
It seems that all of a sudden everything is starting to spring into life. Buds are bursting, spring flowers are a burst of colour and there is an all round general feeling of Spring in the air.
This is the first Spring I have had with my Nikon camera so I thought I should put it through it’s paces whilst I can. I wasn’t disappointed. There was glorious colours all over.
The trees along the Hutt River are starting to wake up from their winter slumber giving out a lime and pink colour wash.
Close up on those trees they are a mass of buds and catkins.
The temptation for a closer look was too much. Although if you have tried focusing an automatic camera on so many things it can be quite tricky to get a clear view of a single branch. But I managed after much fiddling around.
There were plenty of other close up opportunities with trees bursting with blossom all over.
There was white blossom.
And pink blossom.
And this is what you get when the pink blossom is in the background of the white blossom.
A veritable candy floss I think.
Love the close ups. I NEED a new camera. Today has definitely been autumnal here, hope you’re packing your waterproofs for your trip. The weatherman keeps talking about sunshine but not in this corner of the UK.
