Just in the snatched minutes gazing out the window whilst working this week  I understand why people love Ruapheu and the Tongariro National Park.  It’s bleak beauty at it’s best.  Already excitement is mounting for a snowy ski season which can only be a good thing after a dreadful season last year when gale force winds kept the mountain closed for fun for days on end.

I’ll be back I’m sure to explore this world heritage site and maybe take up the invitation for a snow cat tour up on the ski fields.
