It’s amazing what you find when you lift a few leaves in your kitchen garden. Today I found two cucumbers and three courgettes ready for picking. More beetroot were bursting through to the surface so I whipped them out as well. All of these will be making it into our picnic hamper for some special outings in the next couple of days.
By way of update, the tomatoes are still growing, the spuds looking lush and with the sunshine predicted for the next couple of days I have high hopes for the aubergines that are finally getting their roots establish and springing into life. Courgette recipes are being earmarked as I’m sure it’s going to be prolific numbers of courgettes to bring into the kitchen.
