We’re still waterlogged and squelch around under foot but  today I found raindrops I liked today.  It was like finding a thread of gold amongst a bale of straw. There was something magical about the way the drops of water just sat perched on a lone leaf – oh how I wished for a macro lens to get in real close but instead I scrabbled around in the undergrowth almost sending myself back down the steep hill I’d just climbed attempting to get to eye level to take a shot.  The bassets were so concerned for me they came back down from where they’d climbed to take a closer look.  It was only  a matter of time before a basset paw found my leaf and the raindrops feel from their resting place to add to the sodden ground.

Pesky dogs – they just don’t know a great photo opportunity when they see it.
