Well it’s that time of a holiday when you start to realise that it’s back to normal tomorrow.  For me I don’t at least have to go far to my office.  MT however has to done his commuter pack and head off to the city.

Just before the holiday we had vandalism at our local country station.  Can you believe it a station in the middle of nowhere and vandals decided to pay a visit.  The consequence was a burned out waiting room (or rather waiting hut) which due to the extent of the damage was promptly demolished.

Seems that they can speedily demolish the damaged building but can’t see themselves repairing the car park and road leading up to the station.  Here’s the damaged building – what a waste!

It’s hard to believe that our staycation is over and it’s back to normal tomorrow.  It’s always good to take time to kick back and enjoy all those things you don’t have time for normally.  My big decision this break is that despite the wintry feel I’m starting Spring early.  It doesn’t officially start here till 1 September.

This will herald a move to sorting out and cleaning out.  It’s hard to believe we’ve been in our new home for 9 months now.  Time to sort out those cupboards and finish the unpacking too!  Reflecting on what’s needed has galvanised my Domestic Executive energies.  More on that later.

For the moment it’s time to enjoy the few hours relaxation before the work ethic has to kick in.  Let’s hope it’s not raining tomorrow as it can be pretty dreary at the station at the best of times but without the waiting hut MT might get wet.  Or perhaps I could stay long enough for the train to arrive before scooting off back home to let the chickens out and give them their breakfast.

There was blue sky today so it isn’t all bad here!

Oh yes, I thought it might help to put all out wild weather walks into context.  Here’s a link to a map showing where we live with all the various walks around us.  I’ve highlighted Domestic Executive HQ just so you can see how close we are to all the trails I’ve been telling you about.
