At last, some rain. 16 mm of rain to be precise according to the Regional Council rainfall measure. It’s be a blessed relief I can tell you to hear the raindrops falling on the roof last night.
I’m convinced the vegetables have grown double time as a result. It’s looking greener and cleaner all round outside.
I feel content and happy to be sharing my weather obsession with you today. I know I’m British and this is what you’d come to expect. But living in the country you become more attuned to the weather patterns and needs.
Away from weather watching I’ve been more of an Executive than domestic so I won’t bore you with those details. Suffice to say I’m taking a day off from being a Domestic Executive tomorrow and playing hooky with my company colleagues. We’ve got an action packed day planned so watch this space tomorrow for reports of our exploits.
The weather will play an important part of a plans for fingers crossed for some dry weather over Wellington City tomorrow!
Oh – almost Forgot. Fortnam’s been in the wars again. He really is the most accident prone basset hound we have. Hooning around like a lunatic he twisted his leg and has been hobbling. It’s nothing serious and after a good night’s rest he seems better. He has been off walking duties though for the day and will be confined to barracks until he walking completely free of hobble. Otherwise he’s fine but I’ll keep you posted of how he goes.
Awww poor little fella, hope he is ok today. The rain help make the weeds grow bigger 🙁
