Who needs sunshine when you have magnolia trees? They bring a burst of light that is simply charming. It’s just the boost we need right now to keep reminding us that indeed Spring is here. Although our specimen is a youthful tree with only a few flowers it punches above it’s weight against other shrubs and blossoms. I am so hoping that the winds don’t pick up again any time now so we can enjoy the burst of colour for as long as it lasts.
Signs are for good weather this weekend which will be marvellous for my photography field trip to Makara Beach which is close to Wellington. It’s just as well as it’s a little on the wild side situated on the south west coast of the North Island.
