Part of my campaign to improve my photography I’ve taken every opportunity arising to hook up with a like minded photography soul.  Today my friend and I braced ourselves in the Wellington wind to capture the Spring colours on display in the Botanical Gardens. Rather than wander throughout the garden we wanted to focus on the tulip display which was primed for a recent special celebration day. Aside from the fact we missed the perfect blooming date and the place was teeming with other people we set out to experiment see if we could find our style.

It was a couple of hours well spent with more learned and practiced than works of photographic art.  I was intrigued by the displays of colour and types of flower that made such a magnificent example of municipal planting.  Here’s a sneak peak with more to come later in the week.
