For once it wasn’t a white knuckle ride into Wellington Airport last night which ended an otherwise anxious day. I was working back in Christchurch completing the work that was so rudely interrupted on 22 February. As we flew over Wellington harbour all the lights were twinkling and I pressed my nose up against the plane window and once again thanked my lucky stars.
The waterfront area looked just as magical this morning with autumnal brightness kicking off the morning in style. I even had 10 minutes spare before my first appointment so I took a moment with my camera to enjoy the view. I’ve become a bit sloppy with my daily photographic habits and need to get back into a daily routine. Random acts of photography are a great way to feel grateful of what you have in life.
This seagull was making the most of the waterfront sculptures.
It was a perfect time for a spot of rowing.
And as if there wasn’t already enough hype already – the NZ Stock Exchange has a handy reminder of what’s to come in 121 days.
Which reminded me that it’s only 128 days before I fly out of Wellington for a fleeting visit back home to the UK.
Lovely post and really like the first pic.
Glad your visit to Christchurch went well and Welly gave you a calm welcome back!
