At the beginning of September MT hotfooted it back to the UK to attend his brother’s wedding.  I love weddings and this is one wedding I would have love to have been at but moving to the other side of the world and living a new life means that you can’t have it all.

I have however been living this wedding through photographs and stories.  What happened with whom.  Who said what.  How wonderfully stylish the food was and how the groom surpassed himself with his speech.

Although I wasn’t there, I am so proud to be able to tell people across the Internet about this wedding between two people who play a special role in our lives.  R is the sister I never had and S, he’s, well let’s just say he’s the brother-in-law I’ve always wanted.

These are two people that we’ve shared their ups and downs with.  We’ve drunk many a bottle of wine with and we’ve run up phone bills with bitching, moaning, laughing and crying with.  But the thing about this wedding is that it’s been a long time in coming.  They got together, stayed together, had a nephew for me to coo over, then got engaged and then they’ve had another nephew for me, but one I’ve not yet met.  At last they’ve finally tied the official knot.

You can see from these pictures it was a day of celebration and I suspect a bit of relief all round that they have finally got that band of gold and that piece of paper to show the world they are together.

I love this picture, it says it all – we did it and it feels good!

Even concentrating that happiness shines through

Here’s another fella that’s having a good time.  He’s almost one and I’ve not yet met him for real.

Here’s another couple of cuties.  My first nephew and his cousin.

There were a few other people at the wedding too!

But mainly family!  Oh and those people who were getting a little distracted.  What is it about men and technology?

Personally I think a bit of girlie stuff is good.

But you know boys will be boys – proud fathers with their kids

And here’s a girl that’s got the boy she wants.
