In reply to Sarah, Simply Cooked. Hi Sarah, no thoughts of a food writing career. I just love to write and have developed an abiding interest in food. I'm a better editor I think, easy to review the work of others. I struggle most with finding the right word although waiting for perfection with writing is a life wasted. Better to get the words out and learn for next time :o

This sounds like a fascinating and useful course. Has it made you want to seek out work in food writing? I find writing with elegance very difficult. I enjoy reading “sparse” prose but I find it hard to record my thoughts in a simple way. I think part of it is that I want to get all my ideas out quickly. But simple writing takes time to perfect.
