You put my gardening skills to shame,,,,this year I haven’t even managed to keep on top of 2 small raised beds! Herbs are surviving but the lettuce have all bolted 🙂

I’m full of admiration – I just couldn’t dedicate that much time and effort to living off the land. We put in our first ever vegetable garden this year – just a small one, and I have to admit that even though I like harvesting the produce, I absolutely hate the tending of the garden. I am loving taking care of my tomato plants though – especially the ones which are in pots – and love seeing that they now actually have fruit. Still hate looking after the garden though – next year I think I’ll grow everything in pots!!

Thanks Sabrina – I feel the same about what you are doing with your photography. I’ve spent too long trying to work out what my photography could be like that I’ve sorely neglected actually going out and making it happen. All that’s going to change soon.

You are so right Rachel – I have a to do list app on my iphone and it’s nowhere near as satisfying as a physical to do list. It’s an essential tool for work though as it shows up in my diary giving me a greater likelihood that I’ll actually manage to do it.

Part of what makes life good is the hard work that goes into making it so. There is something to savour when the dream comes alive. Instead of just thinking about what life could be like if (fill in the blank), you’ve gone out and made it happen. It is inspiring to the rest of us!

I do like physically ticking off – or crossing out – to-do list items, It’s so satisfying,,, an electronic list just doesn’t have the same feel somehow!
