Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iphone
and tested to see if it can survive a thirty foot drop, just so
she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now broken and she
has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it
with someone!

Oh, I feel your hubby's pain! I remember it well... heck I used to be a pastry chef! To turn everything upside down feels like the hardest thing in the world at the start. BUT, as he starts to see results things will get easier. We're going on 5 years of eating mostly gluten + dairy-free (there was even a year there where I was strictly sugar + *gasp* chocolate-free) and I love food more than ever before. May I also suggest you make these for hubby to dunk in his cuppa http://www.mydarlinglemonthyme.com/2010/09/rosemary-and-lemon-cookies.html They are a nice easy place to start. All the best and please don't hesitate to flick me any questions. I've learnt a bit over the years xx

Ok, well I eat low carb ( though not low fat). The good news is you really don't have to give up the good stuff - just change things round a bit. Ive blogged a bit here with some pointers to get started if that helps: http://www.avalonsguide.com/anab/2010/04/eating-low-carb-in-new-zealand/

Some good news for his Lordship - you can still eat pizza! Just make it out of caulflower :)
http://yourlighterside.com/recipe-the-original-cauliflower-pizza-dough-2/
Best low carb blogger - with a whole host of brilliant recipes. I highly recommend the oopsie rolls for bacon butties.

Bad news is any low carb biccies I have made don't last long enough in tea to dunk :( Serious note: if cholesterol is the issue - may be worth getting hold of a copy of Eat Fat Get Thin by Barry Groves. Its the best explanation of how cholesterol actually works and the effect that diet can have on levels that I have ever read. (and why eggs are perfectly ok - the number I eat each week would probably give a Dr a heart attack!)

Ive got a whole load of recipes written up if you want some - may help you get started. Just flick me an email if you think it would help.
