As a parent I can sympathise with the pure heart ache his parents are feeling right now.

In the UK I gave blood regularly and was registered on the bone marrow list. I don’t know if you know this but there are some rules here in NZ which means that as I lived in the UK I am unable to give blood – I was also told I would be unable to donate bone marrow too, for the same reason. Apparently it’s because of the risk of CJD or equivalent. I am yet to follow up on this as I personally think its appalling, given the choice of either dying or risking the very low chance of brain disease I know which I would chose – but that choice isn’t available.

Anyway, getting back to your post. Seth looks like a gorgeous little boy, he will be fine and one day it will all be a distant memory for him and his family. I send all the best wishes and love possible.
