Have to add, I have done that walk a couple of times - but only once with a child in tow - and that was when Charli was 9 month's old and not too heavy in a back pack! I've been avoiding major walks up hills for a while, until the girls legs were strong enough to do most of the walking... but I've had them in training up our local hill where we live and think, with lots of sweets as bribes, and a bit of friendly competition between them, we'll get to the top without too many piggy backs (I hope!). xxx

<strong><em>I'd definitely recommend it Sarah. It is awesome. If you take your time and perhaps take turn piggy backing the girls you'll have a wonderful time!

Oh wow! I LOVE that walk! Looks like you had a fabulous time and the photographs are absolutely spectacular. I must make it a mission to get my girls up there over these summer holidays (with hubbies help and lots of food!). Wonder if the girls will be brave enough to step into the weta cave on the way up! Lovely way to spend a get together as the year draws to a close. Sarah x

I know I am lucky to have such great work colleagues. We actually hardly ever get all together with phone catch ups the general means. We are all lifestylers in one way or another and focus on getting the work done in order to get back to our non work interests quickly. I have been so lucky to land on my feet as other people I know are really struggling as sole trader consultants and coaches. The squeeze on Government spending and the wider economy is starting to pinch. We, however, are still busy and plenty of work on the books.

Amazing views, I escpecially like the one looking towards South Island. It's so good when you get on with your work colleagues. I'm very lucky that the staff at school are caring and supportive and apart from one person who uses 'I speak my mind' as an excuse for being rude, we all get on very well. Pete works in a totally different environment where nepotism rules and people work under such pressure that they take out their stress on anyone around. He can always tell when he goes to a GP's Practice if the GPs are b******s because all the staff are stressed and unco-operative. It's such a shame when it's like that but there other practices where the staff are much nicer and at least it's a job which in this economic climate is something to be very thankful for.
