Now that’s a nice thought – curl up and read a book. I guess I’ll have to wait till I’m on the long plane journey to do that! JT

I know just what you mean, it’s so hard to raise any enthusiasm for indoor jobs when it is raining. All I ever want to do is curl up with a book and a cuppa.

We felt very apathetic after lunch on Sunday, but thankfully the rain held off here till the evening so we managed to get ourselves out the door for an hour’s walk up through the bush in Houghton Valley and along the ridge way. We all felt so much better afterwards. But so much for fresh air being conducive to a good-night’s sleep – Sophie woke at 4.30am and couldn’t get back to sleep! She’s missing Kindi this ‘avo and I’m going to have a lie down and story session with her – I’m praying for a nap – but that would be a miracle! x
