I know just what you mean about being in holiday mode. I feel like I've had a whole year away from the house while I've been teaching full-time and was ready to snap into work mode once the Christmas holiday was over but then the snow came. Although we weren't too badly affected it changed my whole routine. Once I'd walked up tthe hill to check out the state of the road, taken some photographs and fed the hens I felt like hibernating in the kitchen. Now the snow has gone I'm getting on with stuff at home and oh so glad that I'm not teaching full-time. (The new Head is introducing so much more paperwork including mid-year reports to be done in Feb, that everybody is getting totally stressed out.) Right now I'm looking at the mist in my valley but I know that if it does clear it will only be rain or grey skies not a beautiful sunny summer's day. Never mind, I shall have a 2nd cup of fresh coffee while I read a few blogs then I'll wrap up and get ouside to deal with those weeds.
