Hmmm now you've got me wanting a bread maker again................... :) I have been making cinammon whirls (by hand) and there is something so satisfying about kneading the dough. I use high grade flour and have finally got the dough to rise beautifully. Yay me!

Put the Magimix on your christmas list. I have that model and it is brilliant. I use it all the time, my only gripe would be you can't put the bowls and blades in the dishwasher. I can live with that downside though....

I got given a bread maker years ago - and them promtly started eating low-carb and stopped eating bread. I still use it though as a treat, and wouldnt be without it! They are amazing things, and there is nothing better than bread fresh from the maker.

It might not get used much - but its definatley appreciated in this house :)

I'm torn 2 ways over getting a breadmaker, firstly I hate having gadgets cluttering up the kitchen and keep trying to give them away but it would be easier than knocking up a batch of rolls which is what I do now but then again....... I would be tempted to eat more bread and stuff which at the moment I am able to resist. Decisions, decisions.

We have a breadmaker too - but can't seem to get the right recipe out here. Not sure if we are using the wrong flour. Can you recommend a good recipe sight or flour? We are really missing our cinammon and raison toast!

I have a breadmaker but I always find the output too dense - and I'm not sure if it's the machine or the recipe. Must do more experiments. I'm impressed by your repair job.

Oh my, thank you, thank you for that link! That breadmaker sounds amazing and would be very welcome in our home. The thought of the heavenly smell of freshly baked bread filling our home is very, very appealing!

On another note, how wonderful that your Dad found a part for your breakmaker and worked out a way to fix it. Good on you for the repair job and glad to hear you're in 'bread' again!
