I'm just beginning to catch up on all by blog reading, after taking a brief hiatus.

I like the way your blog is laid out. It's easy to read.

I've been struggling with much the same thing ... the direction I want my blog to take. I've decided to stick with my rambling self, as that's probably where I am at the moment :-)

The times I've visited, I've always been interested in what you have to say, especially your take on living in NZ.

Just be who you are.

Thanks for the feedback Karen I'm glad you enjoy the visits. The more I think about it the more I can only be me. Whilst I can write about anything (I've been doing that for years for work) but when it comes to blogging it has to be something you're really passionate about. I think rambling is good - think about all those people in years gone by who wrote diaries. I bet they were full of ramblings too! JT

All I can say is that I always enjoy reading your blog. Plenty of good photos and I find your writing style easy to read. I often laugh out loud and always want to respond. I've dipped into lots of blogs but there aren't too many that I read regularily, just don't connect with some of them I suppose. I always find your subject matter interesting. I suspect that writing about the things you are passionate about is what makes for a good blog.
Re the layout, I don't have any problems with it at all, it's nice and clear and easy to navigate. Looking at other blogs especially from the US, they're very pretty but I find them much too distracting and I haven't quite made up my mind about music.

Ruta, thanks for the comment, it's good to know what brings my regular readers in. I'm with you on the music, the first time I was on a blog and they had a play list it nearly made me die of shock as I couldn't work out where the music was coming from!

I will be totally honest... I am not only English but a Northerner so you would expect no less!

I personally think its great. I can connect to how you write, I adore the photos and you always cover different topics which are always of interest. The new photo layout makes it even more amazing.

I also read a gazillion of blogs, I get annoyed when I dont find time to catch up as I always seem to miss 'the moment'. Everyone has their own style and everyone writes about the things they find important. It would be a dull on bloggersphere if we were all writing the same stuff.

Your life is amazing, you want to tell the world and so you should. You should write not only for your readers but most importantly YOURSELF. I will be honest and say that the other parts you add about NZ are wonderful....but do you feel you are being forced to add them? Thats not what its about.

I have found myself scanning the news or trying to think of new and exciting things to write about, but then thats not from the heart and I have felt that when drafting a post.

Stick to what you are doing, I am never bored of what I read, I always want to leave a comment and I keep coming back.

Be true to your blogging self!!

xx

Marrisa, you are such a generous person. Thanks for this feedback. The problem is blogging is that it's addictive and writing about things that matter most is what fuels that addiction. What's clear is we're kindred spirits as far as blogging is concerned!
