When I had my landrover I would bring home the school tree, all 10ft of it, shedding needles down the back of my neck. Once trimmed down it always lasted the holiday and then was recycled into firewood. This year my micra was not up to the job and as it is an 'away' yeart and there are only 4 of us at home I debated not having a tree. Bowing to popular demand I will probably hack off the top of one of the big leylandii that needs cutting anyway as trees seem to be be in short supply and we still can't drive into town.
