He mutters darkly when we drive past piles of wood cut and left by the National Trust. When we first moved here he did a lot of tree work for people with his chain saw and I would be left to cut smaller stuff with the circular saw. I found splitting wood with an axe is very satisfying and one year Linas worked off a lot of aggression splitting logs.
