the picture of Mason standing over Fortnum is fantastic and hilarious!!!
I also love the way that they not only lay in front of the fire but both of them lay with their bellies facing toward it to keep their tummies warm!!

Your bassets look extra droopy when they are sick. I love your posts about them; I always look forward to the next installment! I have a basset too and I appreciate the quirks of the breed. Keep the fabulous pics coming!

Poor old doggies. At least they’ve got a nice warm place to sit . It looks as if we’re having the lovely weather for a change, 27 C predicted for today, cooler up here in the hills with a little breeze. It might even last another whole day ! but then we could be back to rotten weather. 2 years ago it rained every day for 6 weeks over the summer.

Brrrrr, sure has been cold! Love your log burner. We used to have one in our Brooklyn townhouse and it added so much romance to winter. We loved curling round it with a game or book.

Do hope Fortnum and Mason get well soon – oh that last photo… I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry in sympathy!
