I recently found your site and wanted you to know how much i'm enjoying it! Your photos are lovely, especially these from the market. I'm on my way to NZ myself next month as a PR. Husband got a job north of Auckland, so i will be following your posts for ideas and advice!

Great photos... and the market is also great if you have kids.

There is a nearby skate park and some swings and slides, so it's perfect for a morning stroll and bumble past the stalls.

Yummy! Love this post and the accompanying photos. There's always so much colour, variety and atmosphere at markets. Good luck in seeking out more local suppliers of quality produce, as you say - they are there - but often hidden gems!

That sounds like a very tempting market with all those delicious goodies. I know just what you mean about taking pictures of people selling stuff, will they pleased at some free publicity or will they think you are intruding inti their privacy or trying to pinch their ideas. At least nature has none of these concerns and it is perfectly acceptable to spend time looking for the right angle and light. My friends keep threatening to take over my camera when we are out so that my picture appears up on the staff room wall the following morning and not just theirs.
