I loved the movie and the book. Never thought to go back and read Julia's tale of her life in France, but you make it sound appealing. It's always good to read about how people who realize their dreams actually did it.

Years ago I read Van Gogh's letters to his brother Theo. Fascinating. He was one determined man! OK, so he didn't really become considered 'great' till long after his death, but he got there in the end! And it was a lot of hard work and determination that got him there.

Anyway, thanks for the book recommendation.

I LOVED this film. I saw it last Sunday morning and it was such a treat to even find the time to watch a movie. The girls were playing around me and I was captivated. Such an inspiring story indeed. It's always great to see a person doing what they love. No matter if doing what we love doesn't bring us riches or glory, it is the inner satisfaction one derives from following our passions and becoming accomplished in doing them. But of course in this story her achievements are rewarded and the reader or viewer is left with a great feeling of joy for Julia and inner hope that perhaps they might find the determination to follow their own dreams.

I loved hearing that the story of Julie and Julia started you on the road to blogging and I very much enjoy following your blog as you realise your dreams.
