I can’t believe that they are putting poison out where anything can get to it. Not just the possum, but any other wildlife that may come across it as well as your pets, seems so indisciminate!! I don’t think they do stuff like that in the states. It’s not as if there aren’t enough things to worry about without the government throwing poison out at random, scary!!! I hope the problem of a few sick possum is worth all that 🙁

We live in a DOC area that uses possum traps that don’t endanger other animals, thankfully I have not seen an 1080 air drops. Keep those little pooches of yours close by!

Oh, how awful – both the problem of possums and the poison that makes it so darn difficult to enjoy summer time with your beautiful bassets.

If only everyone who made decisions about controlling possums and killing weeds was a dog owner. All these chemicals around the place are a real worry for our fur kids.
