I feel your pain and relief. We're one week into a three week holiday and I am only homesick for our dog. I can't wait until we get back and see her do what I can only describe as dog cartwheels of excitement when she sees us. I know she's in great hands, safe and happy; I'm the maladjusted one in this pack!

I think that is so sweet that they howl for you. They worry about they're pack leader and what to make sure that you're still within howling distance. Have you tried howling back to them? Just a little Aaarrrooooo in answer, to see what they would do?
I am sure that they are the best little children any sitter could ask for but I know that a mother always worries. As for being snubbed upon your return, my basset would do the same thing. Happy to see me at first, so glad that momma was home, but then followed by the cold shoulder which generally lasted for a about a day or at least a feeding or 2!!
Great pics of the boys!!
