All animals have characters and it’s great fun when you learn to interpret their body language. I talk to my cats though mostly it’s of the ‘get down’ variety especially when Patch is climbing up to search the cupboard for cucumber. Of course they don’t understand the words but they recognise the tone and that’s good enough. I did find myself thinking out loud in the supermarket the other day which I should stop doing or people will think I’m a batty old woman.
