The best of summer night skies

I was doing the washing up last night and looked up and this is what I saw.  The colours were as vivid as this picture – and no photoshop required.  No indeedee when you have a new super duper camera you can go au naturale.

There have been some fantastic sunset so far this summer.  This one followed rain for most of the day.  I was delighted to see so much red – shepherd’s warning – can only be good for gardening and doing outdoor chores.

The way that the clouds made sun streaks was so very atmosperic.  Like a beacon shining over the hill.

Just watch this as it moves across the sky.

Are you watching.  Need to look close.

OK enough already.  I think you get the gist.

When I see sights like this it reminds me whilst I’m 12,000 miles away from my family and friends.  I know there is no real comparison but it does compensate for what would otherwise be a total drag.

  1. Ha ha, I was watching! Totally gorgeous, and as for your camera….me jealous?? Of course!!! But no matter the camera you have to have a good eye and you have it. Lovely photos, I put some photos on our blog a while back of the huge rainbow and red skies, one of the best nights yet x
