It takes a lot for me to give up, give in. But I must.
I’ve been suffering a heavy cold since last Thursday and one more sleepless night of coughing and spluttering has left me tired, real tired.
See those basset eyes? That’s what mine look like.
I’m off back to bed for a while and will reconvene with the wider world later and blogging tomorrow. I’m aiming for a spot of photo study in town tomorrow. If the rain holds off and I can stop coughing long enough to hold the camera still.
Don’t worry though, it IS only a cold. Not bird flu or swine flu or any other sort of flu. It may be a human version of kennel cough (if there is such a thing).
Thank goodness my father brought me industrial quantities of Beechams powders when he came over last. I swear by them as the only remedy for colds and the like. I feel comforted by the little powder in the papers that you sprinkle into water before drinking. Beats swallowing a couple of capsules.
I hasten to add that my fascination with white powders in slips of paper stops there.
Just don’t breath too close to this blog post – you might catch something you don’t want.
I hope those boys are looking after you, snuggling up to keep you warm and breathing heavy sighs into your ears. I know they’d do more if they could.I trust the Beechams will get you through the worst of it. Keep warm, sleep, and we’ll hear from you when you’re feeling better.
Everything Ruta said! Get well soon and rest up x
Are you still not well? So sorry to hear that Julie. I am just about to reply to your email about getting together xxx
