It’s been a wonderful Christmas.  A happy, happy Christmas.  A relaxing Christmas but with lots going on.  The best thing about this Christmas is we’ve had someone else to record the happenings.  So here we are looking the hill billies out for our Christmas walk.

The bassets were still real excited from opening their presents.  The sun was shining (albeit intermittently) and we were enjoying being able to be out and about on this special day.

I told you that the bassets were excited.  Here they are jumping for one of their Christmas presents.

And here they are engrossed in other people opening their presents.

We ditched the Christmas tradition this year and went for a rib of beef.  It was a resounding success.  The cooking was a real team effort with everyone pitching in to do their bit.  We’d decided on taste not volume for our seasonal fill and it worked out exactly as you might hope.

I was pleased that I had my mother-in-law on hand to iron the linen table cloth.  It was one of those last minute hitches that we didn’t let hold us back.

There were some special guests with us for Christmas.  Friends from Oxford are touring New Zealand and they were in Wellington for the festive season. It was fantastic to see them both and we enjoyed them being with us.

Nothing like family and friends to make your Christmas go with a swing.  Happy kiwi Christmas Geoff and Terry!

There are so many photos to share with you of our special day but plenty of time to get them in some semblance of order before sharing.

I hope you had a wonderful happy, happy Christmas.  Whatever you were eating.  Whatever you did with your day.  And whoever you were sharing the festivities with.  Happy, happy Christmas to you from Domestic Executive HQ!
