It’s been almost like a switch has been flicked. Cold, wet and very miserable. With the official start to winter just a few days away I should be unsurprised by the cold bleak weather but I’m not. I keep thinking summer will arrive soon which of course it will but after winter and spring. In the meantime we can enjoy the varying cloud formations skimming over Goat Rock and Mount Climbie. My real problem with such weather is my waterproof wellingtons are no longer totally watertight. So much for fancy Hunter Wellies which seem to have run their course.
At least winter is starting when it’s supposed to this year and I’m trying to be optimistic that the windy days will be outnumbered by crystal clear blue sky days!

Should look at a pair of Muck boots as an alternative.
Hunter boots, that’s a bit posh, I stick to workman’s wellies with steel toe caps thought my heart longs for a pair of flowery wellies or a pair of pink or lavender Hunter wellies available at our local farm store. It looks like we are about to have a few days of summer. Then we’ll probably be back to winter weather too.
Just coming into summer here in Florida, way to hot for me already and I have a good 5 -6 more months of this heat to go…………. Summer lasts way to long here 🙁
