There should have been a bad hair day alert put out with the weather forecast today.  We’ve been treated to a continuous shower of fine spring mist all day.  Just the sort of weather to make your hair frizzy or in my case flat and damp.  The offending weather has been hanging in our valley bringing a gentle shower – hardly even a shower, more like a steamy mist.  But bad hair and damp weather hasn’t stopped productivity at all outside here at Domestic Executive HQ.

We’ve been strimming (or weed-wacking as the kiwi’s like to call it) and trimming edges around the trees to let them breath away from the long grass and weeds.  It’s been knee breaking work hacking away with the shears but I like to see it as good upper arm exercise combined with plenty of knee bends.  The bassets have helped too chewing their way through the long grass until they make themselves unwell.  I fear a bigger downpour tomorrow which might do more damage than these raindrops which have left the garden glistening in the evening sunlight.
