Here’s a picture of a simply brilliant basset handler. She’s grown up with bassets and knows how to keep them under control. I can learn a lot from her.
I took this photograph of her at the basset show on Monday and with her Mum’s permission have submitted it to this week’s faces photo competition (check it out). This photo shows her happy go lucky character at it’s best.
To be a brilliant basset handler you first have to get organised.
Then you can get going to show off your basset’s running skills.
This is no mean feat when you’ve got a judge scrutinising every step.
After all bassets will do what bassets do – pull and sniff!
Although bassets can pose nicely when they want to.
As their handlers can.
M looks after (well her mum does actually) Fortnum and Mason when they go on their holiday’s to stay with their basset family. She’s an awesome basset handler that’s for sure!
I didn’t even know you could GET bassett hounds to run! 🙂
Lovely photo – did you use a prime lens? Very vibrant colors and contrast.
She’s beautiful ~ what a lovely photo of her sweet smile!
Thanks for joining in the fun this week,

Wow, such color, and what a great smile!
That bassett should meet Charlie (from thepioneerwoman.com)
Hugs & Blessings!
Thanks stopping by my blog. Fortnum and Mason are great fans of Charlie! JT
I love every one of these pictures! What an adorable little girl!
My first dog was a bassett hound named Happy, and I loved him so much! We have 4 labs and love them like crazy, but I have a special place in my heart for bassetts. I love to hear them bark and howl! 🙂
It’s nice to have run across your blog today!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the notion of a basset called Happy. They so don’t look happy sometimes even if they are. JT
